Well, the first Finding Fiction Friday went pretty well so I thought of continuing this series. I hope you find a new book to add to your tbr pile today.
Finding Fiction Friday is a weekly meme about recommending a book. It can be a recent read or an old favourite. Write up your post and include this description. Don’t forget to link me up in the post so that I can add your post and we all can get more books to add to our reading pile.
I want to talk about a Dystopian novel today!
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
This book is describes a world where firemen start fires to destroy books rather than to put it out. Guy Montag is one such fireman who believes in the state’s book-burning. He feels his job is important because people are happy without books. Books are the source of apprehension and create unnecessary conflicts. The plot gains intensity when he starts questioning this state of affairs.
Whenever there is a discussion around Dystopian recommendations, this book has always been my first pick. I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t stop reading it. I was submerged in the plot so much that I felt a part of me existed in that world besides Guy Montag seeing things through his lens.
I never got around to actually write a book review of this book but it is surely a 4.5 star for me. Let me know in the comments below if you want me to post a full review of this book.
Happy Reading,
Mini
