The 5 W’s Book Tag

Hello bookworms! It is the time of the year and I’m so happy that it is nearly the holiday season. Admittedly, I had been quite inactive but this is one of my many new year resolutions to be regular with my posts.

Starting this with a super fun tag which I found on the lovely Bionic Book Worm‘s recent blog post.

1 – WHO? Who is an author you’d love to have a one on one with?

It’s a no brainer question for me because obviously it is J.R.R. Tolkein. I am aware of the fact that one needs to be living to have a one on one with. But, being a Tolkienite at heart I cannot imagine myself having endless conversations apart from the Professor.

2 – WHAT? What genre or style do you most gravitate to?

I have always been reading a lot of classics so naturally I’m drawn towards classics more. However, I have started to add contemporary fictions to my genre or style. At bookstores I’m picking up recent award winning works rather than classics. If you have any suggestions for recent books that I should be reading, feel free to comment below.

3 – WHERE? Where do you prefer to read?

Not on the couch and only always on my bed. Reading on my bed with a fuzzy blanket and scented candles all around is my happy place to read.

4 – WHEN? What time of the day do you prefer to read?

I am generally free at night after a mundane, stressful day at work so I prefer to read at night.

5 – WHY? Why is your favourite book your favourite book?

My favourite is the Lord of the Rings series because those are the books that got into me since the first time I have read them. It is like a dear friend of mine whom I return to in happiness and despair.

That’s all for this tag but watch this space for some more. I wasn’t tagged for this so I won’t tag anyone but if you like to answer these questions please link back to this post so that I get to read the responses.

Happy Reading.
